Truro Cathedral’s annual blue-light carol service celebrates the hard work of those working in the emergency services across the region, including police, fire and rescue, ambulance and First Responders.

The music-filled evening on December 2 was led by Canon Pastor Alan Bashforth and attended by blue-light workers from all over Cornwall.

The event featured carols and performances by Kernow Pipes and Drums and the Rock Choir, with Assistant Chief Constables Nikki Leaper and Superintendent Ian Thompson delivering readings and leading the Police Officer’s Christmas Prayer.

“This annual event is a wonderful occasion, recognising the valuable work of all emergency service workers who work tirelessly to keep Cornwall safe,” said Supt Thompson.

Future dedicated carol services at the cathedral include the Young Farmers Clubs (YFC) on Saturday, December 21.
