EMERGENCY services retrieved a body from a beach in Newquay on Friday morning. (December 13)
The body of a man was discovered at Great Western Beach at 7.25am.
Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team carried the body across the beach and up the slip road to an awaiting private ambulance.
The Coastguard taped off the entrance to the beach whilst the incident was being dealt with. Police are making enquiries to identify the man.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called to Great Western Beach following a report of a body located on the beach.
“Emergency services remained at the scene and are making enquiries to identify the male.”
