POLCIE have identified the body of a man who was located at a Newquay beach on Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to Great Western beach at 7.30am. The man was confirmed deceased.
Police appealed for help as they were unable to identify the man through initial enquiries. He is described as a white male, likely aged in his forties or fifties, with a long grey hair and a thick beard.
A police spokesperson said: “Police have now identified the man who was located on Great Western beach this morning.
“Officers will now make efforts to locate and inform his next of kin.
“We’re very grateful to everyone who shared our appeal and contacted us to provide information. This has been significant in helping progress our enquiries.”
