LARGE quantities of dog waste are being placed in public bins in St Austell – and the town council isn’t happy.

The council took to Facebook on Christmas Eve to post a message about “dog waste”.

In the post, the council said: “Over recent months, we have noticed an increase in large quantities of dog waste being placed in the town council’s public bins.

“We would remind professional dog walkers that their dog waste should be dealt with through a commercial waste contract which can be organised through Cornwall Council or a private waste contractor.

“The town council's grounds staff will be working to empty the public bins on a number of occasions over the Christmas/New Year holidays.

“Please help our staff and use the council’s bins responsibly.”
