THE Remembrance Sunday service and wreath laying ceremony in St Dennis saw a good attendance as the fallen from the world wars and other conflicts were honoured.

The parade in the Clay Country village formed outside the War Memorial Institute and marched to St Denys Church accompanied by music from the St Dennis Band, with villagers respectfully watching on.

Veterans wearing their medals were among those taking part in the parade.

After a service in the parish church, the parade re-formed and moved on to St Dennis Cemetery where a wreath was laid by children at the cemetery memorial.

The parade then made it way back to the War Memorial Institute where wreaths from many organisations were laid by representatives.

Children and young people were among those laying wreaths at the memorial in the centre of the village. Also paying respects was a flight lieutenant from RAF St Mawgan, near Newquay.
