There was an excellent atmosphere at Redruth School yesterday morning as the class of 2024 joined family, friends and staff to find out their exam results.

Headteacher Craig Bonds, said: “As headteacher of Redruth School, I am delighted that our students have worked hard and achieved a well-deserved set of results. All students from all abilities and with all different paths deserve mention and congratulations. This is whether they are heading for further education, apprenticeships or A levels.

“Our school prides itself on an all-round education and whilst reaching potential is an important part. So too are the friendships, opportunities, responsibilities, respect and sheer enjoyment which this group has experienced with us and now carry on to their next stage, and we wish them well with this.

“These students need particular mention as a group of young people who not only dealt with all of the issues of the pandemic when joining us in Year 7, which affected us all, but committed to a return to their studies with great resilience.

“They have, as a group, worked extremely hard and been a credit to the school, their parents/carers and the community. It is great to see them fulfilling their potential and I wish them well in the next stage of their lives.

“Thanks to our students, staff and parents/carers for making the school what it is: a great school in the heart of its community.”
