Local historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photo pays a visit to the early 1900’s in Fowey.

Barrie says of this picture: “Fowey fire engine on a fire float at Bodinnick Ferry slipway at Fowey leaving to deal with a boat fire or a property the other side of the river at Polruan in the early 1900's.”
