NANSLEDAN is set to sparkle with festive cheer as the community comes together for the annual Christmas lights switch-on and market on Saturday, November 30.
The popular event promises an evening of magical moments for all ages with a Santa parade, live music, market stalls, and a delicious array of food and drink.
Highlights include Santa's arrival and lantern parade at 5.30pm. The evening kicks off with the arrival of Santa in Stret Ewyn, opposite Country Cow Designs. Santa will lead a sparking lantern parade to Parc Mengleudh where the celebrations continue.
The lights switch-on and brass band performance will be staged at 6pm. A highlight of the evening will be the grand switch-on of the Christmas lights at Parc Mengleudh, accompanied by a Santa meet-and-greet. The Indian Queens Brass Band will be filling the air with traditional festive tunes.
Christmas Market and late night shopping will be held between 6pm and 9pm. Local traders will be open for late night shopping and the Kew An Lergh courtyard (behind Sabzi) will host a Christmas market, featuring artisan stalls with unique gifts, live music and plenty of food and drink. Stall holders include Duchy Nursery who will be selling garden items and homeware.
Langley's Chocolate will be selling handmade chocolate treats, Good Lyfe plastic-free and ethical products as well as Beautifully Handcrafted offering natural candles, fragrances, and diffusers.
Sam Kirkness, Nansledan development manager at the Duchy of Cornwall, which is supporting the event, said: “Christmas is such a special time in Nansledan, and we’re all looking forward to a magical evening filled with festive cheer.
