NEWQUAY schoolchildren have been learning about kindness for their latest topic and how to raise money for a good cause.

Pupils at Trenance Learning Academy have been taking part in PSHE workshops linked to kindness to mark Anti-Bullying Week, World Kindness Day and Children in Need.

Children had an extra special lunch ( )

The school raised £401 for Children in Need selling Pudsey Bear biscuits.

A school spokesperson said: ”It feels nice to be kind and it’s a good idea too, because if everyone is kind, we’ll make a better world.

Lots of children dressed up as Pudsey to mark the occasion ( )

“We’ve been learning about the power of being kind and how the smallest gestures can make a big difference to others.

“This linked in to our Children in Need theme where children and staff wore what makes them happy to school. Our wonderful kitchen team also made Pudsey Bear biscuits for children, staff as well as a fundraiser for our families.
