Students from Richard Lander School in Truro were celebrating excellent GCSE results this morning.

Almost 20% of students gained five or more passes from Grade 7 to 9. Special commendation goes to students Connor Dean-Pijuan, who achieved 10 GCSE passes at Grade 9, and Amelia Williams, who achieved nine Grade 9 passes.

More than 150 students came into school to collect their results in person, and share their success with their families, friends and teachers.

Head teacher Steve Mulcahy said: “On behalf of staff and the governing body, we offer our congratulations to Year 11 students who did so well in their GCSE exams this summer.

“Their success is the result of five years’ hard work and commitment to their studies during their time at Richard Lander School.

“Most of our students achieved outstanding results and almost 20% of students gained five or more Grade 7 to 9 passes, which is a terrific achievement.

“On behalf of the whole school community, I say well done to Year 11. We wish all our students the very best for the future as they embark on the next stage of their exciting journey.”
