A house caught ablaze at White Cross after the property was struck by lightning on Monday morning (January 26).

Crews from St Columb and St Dennis attended the incident and used CO2 extinguishers and breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire at about 6.30am.

A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed: “Critical Control received a call stating a house had been struck by lightening. Crews from St Columb and St Dennis attended and used CO2 Extinguisher and Breathing Apparatus to extinguish a small fire.”
