PARENTS and carers have been warned to expect travel disruption whilst picking up and dropping off their children from a secondary school in Newquay.

The next phase of works on the junction opposite Tretherras Quay carpark is underway.

The work started on Monday, January 27, and will take approximately four weeks to complete.

Various areas of the road and footpaths will be closed at different times including Trevenson Road between the junction and the recycling centre for a time, but alternative route will be provided.

A spokesperson for Tretherras Academy said: “It is intended to keep the disruption to a minimum at the school’s busiest times, but delays will still be possible.”
