FIRE fighters were called to a residential blaze in Threemilestone, near Truro, in the early hours of Thursday morning (August 15).

Cornwall Fire and Rescue was called at 1.10am and mobilised appliances from Truro, Tolvaddon, Perranporth, Newquay and Falmouth.

On arrival, a fire involving the top floor of a residential property was discovered. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets used two hose reel jets, one main jet, a 135 ladder and a triple extension ladder to tackle the fire.

Crews have made good progress was made and the incident was staled down from 4am, with crews continuing to monitor for hotspots.
