PENWITH Voices are presenting A Musical Year at the Praa Sands and District Community Centre, Marazion on Saturday, December 7.

Penwith Voices are the most South Westerly part of Kernow Voices - a group of three choirs extending as far as Truro. The singers are all enthusiastic and committed to bringing a wide range of music to their audiences. Singing mostly in three or four parts they will be sharing a mixture of folk, ballads, popular and sacred music selected from their extensive repertoire.

They will be accompanied by Ruth Best, a much sought after pianist who brings both talent and a complete understanding of the music to every performance. The musical director is Kevin Lane. He now leads six choirs in the area, ranging from community choirs to church and chamber choirs.

The evening's music will span the year, staring from the cold of January and ending near Christmas.
