ARMED police descended on a holiday park in Goonhavern following reports that a person was carrying a gun.

The police attended the Newperran Holiday Resort and seized a BB gun from a teenage boy on Monday, July 15, at 8pm. Words of advice were given to the teenager and no further action was taken.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Hendra Croft following a report of a person believed to be in possession of firearm.
“Armed officers attended the site and carried out a search. A teenage boy was found to have a BB gun.
“The item was seized, and words of advice were given.”
