A MAN was injured after falling from a cliff edge in Newquay on Sunday.
Police, Newquay RNLI Lifeboats, Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team and the ambulance service attended the incident at Towan Beach at 3.30am.
The emergency services were alerted following reports of a concern for the welfare of a man in his thirties who was reportedly on the wrong side of the railings in the area of The Crescent.
The man was found on the ground at the entrance to Towan Beach, having fallen from the railings.
He sustained a minor leg injury and was taken to Treliske Hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “After locating the casualty the team provided first aid prior to handing him over to the ambulance service on arrival.”
