A Newquay woman is taking part in the London Marathon in a wheelchair pushed by her family.
Anna Harrison, who has multiple sclerosis, will be pushed around the 26-mile course by her husband Steve along with their daughters Kate and Ella on Sunday, April 27.
The family will be raising money for the MS Society, which helps people affected by multiple sclerosis.
They have only now started training to take part in the gruelling event after recently being notified a place is available despite applying months ago.
Steve said: “Last year Kate ran the London Marathon and raised over £2,000 from our generous friends and family.
“We applied in 2024 for Anna to complete the marathon in her chair with the family pushing.
“We didn't hear anything so forgot about it.
“We recently got an email to say we have a place to race in the marathon in a month’s time.
“Kate, Ella and I are in serious training now to get marathon fit.
“Anna is on a strict diet to ease the burden for us.
“Again, we would like to raise some money for MS so any donations would be fab.”
