Yet another phenomenal trade selling to a top average of 352p per kilo for a 712kg Limousin steer from J B Old Farms of Treyarnon Bay, St Merryn who sold further sublime Limousin steers for 346p/kg, 341p/kg and 327p/kg, with the 346p/kg bullock weighing 746kg and altogether achieving £2,581.
Thereafter was a 692kg Angus from Messrs J H Pellow and Sons of Camborne at 318p/kg, whilst over age Limousin steers from Messrs E, M & S Beale of Porthtowan, Truro realised 294p/kg and 280p/kg.
Heifers selling to 323p/kg on behalf of Mr T G Hawke, Newquay for his 617kg South Devon, followed by an Aberdeen Angus from Laity Farms, Hayle at 320p/kg and a South Devon from the same Vendor at 316p/kg.

Beef types selling to 250p/kg on behalf of Messrs J H Pellow & Sons of Camborne followed by a grand 925kg South Devon from Mr A L Pascoe of Hayle at 244p/kg and a hammer price of £2,257.
Thereafter, Shorthorns from Mr J B W Bennetts of Ruan Minor, Helston, realised 202p/kg and 199p/kg. Many more numbers required and more could have been sold on the day. Vendors are encouraged to capitalise on this strong prevailing trade.

Another record-breaking trade in the store ring, with a good quality entry selling to £2,250 for a single 2-year-old Blue steer from Messrs S M & J Blee of St Martin, Helston.
A show stopping consignment of 18 South Devon steers and heifers from Mr T G Hawke of Colan, Newquay averaged £2,010 all in, with pairs of steers to £2,200, £2,150, £2,040 and a slightly younger pair at £1,950, whilst cracking South Devons from Messrs J R Stephens & Son of St Winnow, Lostwithiel, realised £2,100 for a choice trio and further lots to £1,960 and £1,910.
Messrs G B & J G Ellis of Penzance sold an 18-month-old Blue to £1,690, and 2-year-old Guernsey x to £1,650, £1,295 and £1,280, whilst 2-year-old Herefords from Mr F L Chapman of Silverwell, Truro parted away at £1,565, followed by 1½-year-old steers from Mr R T Dunn of Par, St Austell at £1,480 and £1,360.
A super bunch of 9-month-old Limousins from Messrs F G Gluyas & Partners of Camborne were well sold at £1,300, with 1-year-old Herefords from Messrs J J & H E Collins of Tresillian, Truro at £1,180 with a further bunch to £1,145 and Angus to £1,130.
Heifers topping at £2,140 with a choice trio from Mr T G Hawke, with further lots of South Devons to £2,120, £1,860, £1,820 and £1,750 followed by Messrs S M & J Blee at £1,600 for their smart bunch of four 17-month-old Limousins, with Mr K M Wilkin of Mount Hawke not far behind at £1,580 for his 18-month-old Angus.
A 22-month-old Angus from Mr F L Chapman realised £1,460, with Shorthorns from Mr J B W Bennetts at £1,445 and £1,430. Younger heifers to £1,300 on behalf of Messrs F G Gluyas and Partners who sold further lots to £940 and £905. In-calf cows to £1,095 on behalf of Mr H John of Grampound.

Another very strong trade for calves, with a ring full of buyers competing well for all on offer.
The stronger just weaned calves at only 3 months old flew away to a top of £565 for a pair of Hereford x steers on behalf of Messrs P J Grylls & Sons from Kenwyn, Truro selling another pair of Hereford x heifers for £470 each and a further pair achieving £445.
Messrs C J & J E Colwell from Creed also sold a run of British Blue x steers, Aberdeen Angus x and British Blue x heifers at 3-4 month old seeing a pen of three British Blue x steers making £560 each with another British Blue x steer at £500, and going on to sell a pair of British Blue x heifers for £475 each, and their best pen of three Aberdeen Angus x heifers selling for £430.
The younger calves flew away to £550 for a Simmental x bull for Messrs A D & J A Bray from St Martin, Helston who sold a younger British Blue x bull for £368 and a Limousin x heifer for £350.
Messrs S M & J Blee also from St Martin, Helston saw their best British Blue x bull sell for £505 and topping the heifer section with a Limousin x heifer at £375 and another close behind at £370.
Messrs J A Sweet & Partners from St Newlyn East saw the best of their young British Blue x bulls sell for £395 and another making £370. Further Simmental x bulls making £350 and £340 for Messrs L W & S Hosken from Helston.
Messrs J R, P M & D W Treleaven from St Austell sold their best British Blue x bull for £300 and seeing their smart British Blue x heifer away at £370 with another at £345, further Limousin x heifers to £340 for Mr N Warren from Withiel, Bodmin and plenty of other heifers marketed heifers between £280 and £335.

Topping out at £179.00 for a single 64.5kg hogg from Mr D J Tremain of St Columb, sold to J V Richards Ltd of Perranwell Station. Setting the premium at 352p/kg for well covered Beltex x hoggs from Mr R A Coad of Cubert, Newquay, sold to Jaspers Ltd of South Petherwin.

Top call of £156.00 for a pen of good conformation, medium sized Poll Dorset ewes from Messrs G C & V D Mitchell of Duloe, Liskeard. These were followed closely by a pair of ewes from Mr D J Tremain of St Columb selling at £154.00.
Then came a leaner pen of Texels from Mrs S A Scholes of North Country, Redruth selling to £149.50. Strong trade for all forward and vendors are encouraged to market ewes.
