A Truro automotive professional has beaten off stiff competition to be named Accident Repair Centre Manager of the Year at the Vertu 2024 CEO Management Awards.
Tony Bird, who works at the company’s Threemilestone branch, joined the business last year following the acquisition of Rowes Group.
He had the challenge of getting the site up to speed with Vertu’s systems and gaining British Standard Compliance; under his leadership, the centre’s performance has achieved nearly four-fold growth.
Vertu Motors has 202 sales outlets across the UK. Chief executive Robert Forrester said: “Tony’s journey with us has been nothing short of extraordinary. His determination and strategic vision have been vital.”
Tony added: “The dedication and resilience of my team, and their willingness to learn and do things differently, have been incredible.”
