Pixel, a new shared workspace for the creative industries, will open its doors on Causewayhead in Penzance this Monday (January 27).

Built on the site of a former car park, the building comprises three floors of creative workspace for individuals and businesses of all sizes.

There are shared studios for artists and makers of all disciplines through to more conventional desk space in bright, modern workspaces with enviable views of the town and harbour beyond.

The building, designed by award-winning architects Stride Treglown, is rated BREAAM excellent meaning it has incorporated innovative strategies to minimise its environmental impact and make it as efficient and low energy as possible.

Gavin Eddy, founder & CEO of Forward Space, who last year won the contract to run the building, said: “We’re very excited to be opening our doors after finishing our internal fit-out with our long-term collaborators, Shape Studio.

“We want Pixel to be a physical representation of the artistic and creative community of Penzance, which is why we’re dubbing it ‘a community of creators’. We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response so far and are so excited to see the incredible talent of Penzance take up residence in the building.”
