Two crews from the Penzance Community Fire Station were called out to a fire involving two vehicles and a nearby building in Marazion yesterday (Monday, January 20).

Firefighters tackled the blaze at Trevennor Square which began to spread to a nearby garage at around 6.30pm.

A spokesperson for the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two pumping appliances from Penzance responded to this incident.

“On arrival a fire involving two vehicles and spreading to a garage was discovered. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus sets used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.”
