Cornwall Air Ambulance will once again be organising a big one-day blue light festival in 2024, but this year it will have a new home.

A revamped Helifest will take place on Saturday, July 6 at Scorrier House near Redruth.

The festival will celebrate the hard work of Cornwall’s emergency services.

People will be able to meet Cornwall Air Ambulance crew and see the helicopter, with teams from Cornwall Blood Bikes, the British Army, Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service, HM Coastguard, NHS, Devon & Cornwall Police, RNLI and West Cornwall Search & Rescue also in attendance.

There will also be entertainment for all the family with live music from local bands, exciting food traders including Paul Ainsworth’s food truck, inflatables, children’s theme park rides, a circus skills workshop for the little ones, and even the chance for a helicopter ride with Adventure 001.

All the money raised from Helifest will go towards keeping your helicopter flying and helping the charity to save lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Rob Foster, fundraising officer for events and challenges, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Helifest to a new area of Cornwall, in the stunning setting of Scorrier House.

“We are back bigger and better and we’re ready for a day of great entertainment.

“There is a fab line-up of local musicians who will be performing, some excellent food and drink stands to tuck into and of course lots of fun for all the family.

“Helifest not only raises awareness of our lifesaving work here at Cornwall Air Ambulance, and of the other emergency services, but it also helps to raise the vital funds needed to keep your helicopter flying. We hope you’ll come and join us during our #Heli2 appeal year, your support will help us secure a second helicopter.”

Tickets cost £8 for adults, £5 for children, and family tickets are available for £20. They can be booked at cornwallairambulancetrust.org.
