AN investigation is under way after a house near St Columb Major was damaged by an item thought to have fallen from an aircraft on Wednesday night.
Police and a fire crew attended the incident at Tregaswith shortly after 5pm and no injuries were reported.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is leading the investigation.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We attended following reports of an item falling from an aircraft causing damage to a residential property.
“Nobody was injured as a result of this incident.
“An investigation has been opened and is in its early stages.”
A spokesperson for the Air Accidents Investigation Branch said: “We are aware of an incident which occurred in the Newquay area and are making enquiries to understand more about the circumstances.”
