PEOPLE dressed as the living dead took to the streets of St Austell to once again celebrate Halloween.

The annual St Austell Zombie Walk saw participants with a range of spooky, scary and gruesome appearances.

Organisers said beforehand: “We'll be lurking through the heart of town, so you can show off your best undead strut to the entire community.”

The parade made its way from the Market House in Market Street through the town centre to Aylmer Square in fine evening weather led by the drummers of Samba Kernow. Those in the procession had bought tickets to take part.

The walk, which was preceded by a Halloween party, is promoted as the most spine-chilling event of the year in the town and features music and dance.

The organisers were pleased with how it went, saying: “Wow! What a Halloween we’ve had! Thanks to you again, our incredible Zombie Walkers.”
