DAMAGE caused by the high winds experienced in Truro last weekend has forced the temporary closure of the Changing Places toilet facility on Green Street.

The door of the facility, which is located next to Truro Bus Station, is deemed “unusable” after sustaining significant damage. The Green Street facility is one of only two Changing Places areas in the city centre, the other of which is situated at Boscowan Park.

A spokesperson for Truro City Council said: “Unfortunately, due to sustained damage last weekend, our Changing Places toilet facility on Green Street will be temporarily closed.

“Truro City Council are seeking to repair it as quickly as possible, however, due to the scale of the damage it will not be possible for the door to be operational again until at least January 6, 2025.

“Further updates will be provided in due course, and we would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.”
