The Cornwall Garden Society’s (CGS) February lectures will be given by Henrietta Courtauld and Bridget Elworthy, who established The Land Gardeners to research plant and soil health through growing, cutting and designing.
The Land Gardeners’ mission is to work with gardeners and farmers to improve the health of our land, creating beautiful plants, gardens and farms brimming with biodiversity and life – all founded on healthy soil.
They also design productive gardens, and have run workshops, hosted garden tours and restored historic gardens in England, France, Italy, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.
How to Feed and Heal the Soil in Your Garden will be the subject on Tuesday, February 11 at The Alverton, Truro from 7.30pm, followed by Cut Flowers Throughout the Year at St Mellion International Resort, Saltash on Wednesday, February 12 from 2.30pm.
Lectures are free for CGS members. Non-members are welcome to attend to find out more about the society and donations are gratefully received. To become a member of the CGS, and to purchase advance tickets for the CGS 2025 Spring Flower Show on April 5 and 6, visit www.cornwallgardensociety.org.uk
