A Trispen-based artist has been named a national winner at the Wedding Industry Awards 2025.

Cassie Kemp, owner of Cornwall Caricatures, topped the Best Special Touch category and accpeted her award during a ceremony at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London last month.

Cassie captures fun pen portraits in minutes to entertain wedding guests, and estimates she has drawn at more than 300 weddings and nearly 1,000 events across the Duchy and beyond.

Having drawn faces since childhood, she was inspired to launch her business in 2014, following a fruitless search for a caricaturist to appear at her own wedding.

“To get this recognition nationally, and to represent wedding art and caricature as an entertainment choice for your big day, is an honour,” she said.
