A NEWQUAY baby is to appear in the new reboot of Bergerac.

Daisy Daglish-Laine, who was nine months old at the time, plays the role of Lily Wakefield, the daughter of one of Jersey's wealthiest families.

Damien Molony playing the iconic role of Jim Bergerac in the six part series that reimagines the 1980s drama which starred St Austell born John Nettles.

Zoë Wanamaker stars as Charlie Hungerford, Bergerac's mother-in-law.

The new series will follow one character-led murder across all six one-hour episodes, rather than telling a new storyline each episode.

Daisy’s mother Catherine said: “Daisy was needed for a week of filming in Devon and two days in Jersey during the summer last year. It was a lot of fun.”
