THE fourth race of the 2024/25 Cornwall Multi-Terrain Race Series – the Tywarnhayle 10K – was held on Sunday, October 6.

The event, which was in its third year and is organised by Truro Running Club, is based at Mount Hawke and Porthtowan Cricket Club while the route sees competitors take in some of the coast path around Chapel Porth and back towards Porthtowan before before a loop around Tywarnhayle mine.

The event, which had a full quota of 210 runners, was won by Falmouth Running Club’s Ed Dickinson in a time of 41:01, seven seconds ahead of home favourite Steve Reynolds.

In the ladies’ race, Truro’s Anna Harrold (48:06) cruised to victory by over five minutes from second-placed Stacie Tregonning (53:14).
