We have seen these talented crop of youngsters go top of the St Piran League Division Four East table as well as progress into the next rounds of the Percy Stephens League Cup and Cornwall Junior Cup.

The first of those was a 3-0 victory over North Hill on Friday, October 11 in front of a three-figure crowd in the Percy Stephens League Cup.

What an evening for football with two Division Four sides going at it in front of a crowd of over 100.

Early on, both sides had good chances but failed to score.

We played some fantastic football out from the back through Harry Willmott in goal and the two centre backs Felix Sidia-Poole and Jacob Richards.

But our opening goal came after unfortunate injuries to Jackson Richards and Rudy Woolfitt; substitute Cameron Law slid a beautiful ball through to Allam Ahmed on the left side and he finished cooly.

The second goal came in the second half. Fantastic build up play down the right hand side allowed Boyd Mallinder to tee up JJ Deacy for a well-timed finish.

And Alfie Treweek netted his tenth of the season with a fine solo goal after a strong pass out from the back by Sidia-Poole.

A huge thank you to Duncan Stevenson for officiating. A massive thank you to our volunteers. Legends! Thank you to Pete for running the line brilliantly as always. Thank you to all of the supporters.

I also really want to highlight North Hill, who, whilst being a physical side, played in good spirits with a number of their players asking for an update on Woolfitt - who had an X ray the following day.

The man of the matchwas captain composure at right back, who had a fantastic assist, covered loads of ground and made excellent decisions all game - Boyd Mallinder.

Saturday, October 19 saw us head west to St Ives Mariners and ran out 7-2 winners in the second round of the Cornwall Junior Cup.

They are a wonderful group of humans down at Mariners so it was good to be back there.

We made a really fast start as Allam Ahmed won a penalty that he converted cooly for his first of the game.

Daniel Rees then delivered a brilliant free-kick which was converted by the in-form Mallinder at close range.

JJ Deacy then netted two great goals in quick succession to put us four up inside 20 minutes, one of them an absolute screamer.

Mariners got one back before the break, but a 4-1 lead at the break meant we were in a good position.

We started the second half fast and Deacy made a good run through the middle and was picked out by Rees for 5-1.

Ahmed converted another penalty and Rees netted shortly after to make it 7-1.

After a mistake at the back, Mariners got another consolation goal.

Thank you to Exclusive Pawnbrokers and Flavour - our match day sponsors, as well as our hosts, the referee and Pete Burgess for running the line as always.

Some super performances but the player of the match was hat-trick hero Deacy.
