A TOTAL of 33 bird species were spotted when a wildlife group visited the coast and a boating lake in Cornwall.
The Connect With Nature group, which was founded and is chaired Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, enjoyed a three-part birdwatching tour in the Newquay area.
The tour started at Trenance Boating Lake, before moving on to the Gannel Estuary and then finishing at Towan Head.
A spokesperson said: “Fortunately, the weather held and a total of 33 species of birds were seen and recorded during this enjoyable and very interesting event.”
Photographs of a long-tailed duck and a tufted duck were captured.

Among those taking part were Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, Rob Nicholls, Vyv Scawen, Mike Scawen, Anna Worden, Sam Goldswothy, Ryan Goldsworthy, Lynda Burton, Jonty Hill and Lorraine Endean.
