Mountain Warehouse has confirmed that it will be taking over the vacant Wilko premises in Truro’s Boscawen Street.

A spokesperson from the outdoor clothing retailer confirmed today that it would be relocating its Victoria Square store into the much larger premises previously occupied by Wilko, which closed in September last year following the administration of its national parent company.

The new store is planned to open early March 2024, and will provide additional local employment within its larger footprint.

Truro BID chairman Alun Jones added: “We are delighted that Mountain Warehouse is securing and increasing its retail presence in Truro. It will be positive for Boscawen St and the wider Truro to see the ex-Wilko store back in use.”
