The Great South West Partnership is looking for two new deputy directors to join the executive team, and an executive support officer to support the director.
The Great South West is the powerhouse brand for Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and the Isles of Scilly. The Partnership is dedicated to driving investment and spotlighting the region’s world-class industries, businesses, and workforce.
The deputy director for Business Insights will shape a dynamic programme of work collaborating with business leaders, trade and business groups and other stakeholders to identify key trends within the region’s critical economic sectors, showcasing business success and market opportunities for the UK anchored within the Great South West.
The deputy director for investment and growth will lead on developing the region’s work on trade, investment and opportunities which can play a critical role in driving UK economic growth. The new director will also be the strategic lead for the region’s presence at flagship investment events, working with senior stakeholders to build key relationships and the strategic case for the Great South West with investors and financial institutions, government and other international bodies.
Both roles will involve strong and influential partnership working across the private and public sector, to create a shared ambition and passion for the economic growth of the Partnership.
The executive support officer to the Great South West director will provide administrative and board-level support, including booking venues, setting up rooms, sending out papers, liaison with chairs and speakers, and taking minutes. The officer will also assist in the arrangement of business-related events.
