NEWQUAY Surf Life Saving Club junior members have been learning about what it takes to become a RNLI lifeguard.
The Sandhoppers, who aged between four and seven, visited the RNLI headquarters at Fistral Beach where they were shown all the equipment used in a rescue from the Rescue Water Craft to the paddleboards.
Elodie, the Sandhoppers assistant manager, who is also a RNLI lifeguard, along with Paul, the vice chair of the club, accompanied the youngsters on the trip. They were shown the ropes by Elise, one of the senior RNLI lifeguards.
