MORE than 40 pupils from local Cornish schools enjoyed a fantastic STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) day at Truro School Prep.

Tying in with British Science Week, the Discovery Day was a new initiative for 2024, forming part of Truro School’s community outreach programme.

The children were split into three groups before heading off to a two-hour activity of their choice.

Truro School Prep head Rob Morse said: “We were delighted to welcome young people from local schools to enjoy stimulating activities, in subjects that will help them prepare for a future where STEAM skills will be an essential part of our everyday lives.”
