A survey conducted by staycation experts at holidaycottages.co.uk have announced that St Ives is the UK’s favourite childhood holiday destination.

With 51 per cent of UK staycation goers revealing their childhood destination as their happy place, the study has revealed the UK’s favourite holiday destinations for repeat travel saw St Ives come out on top, with Whitby in North Yorkshire and Weymouth in Dorset rounding out the top three.

The data also revealed that 68 per cent of people have revisited their childhood staycation destination in adulthood, at an average of 4.5 times.
