FANS of classic cars and motorcycles – and rock and roll -- had a treat when a show was held in the Clay Country.
Penwithick Social Club in Penwithick, near St Austell, was the venue for the eighth annual outing of the Shades Rock and Roll Club Classic Car and Bike Show when there was plenty of gleaming metal on display.
With various classes, including best hot rod, classic car and vintage motorcycle, there was much to interest motoring and motorbiking enthusiasts, as well as lovers of all things 1950s and 1960s.
Providing the musical entertainment at the free event, which attracted a decent crowd of all ages, was Cornish rock and roll band Play It Cool.
Alison and Tory Wills organised the show, with Alison saying: “I’m very grateful to everyone who came along and supported us.
“Everyone was having a really great time and, thankfully, the weather was kind too!”
