TRURO City Council will host this year’s annual bonfire and fireworks display at Tremorvah Playing Field on Tuesday, November 5.
Gates will open at 5pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30 pm, followed by the fireworks display at 7pm. This is a cash-only event, with all profits donated to Cornwall Air Ambulance, CHBN Radio and Cornwall Young Farmers.
Refreshments will also be available to purchase on site, kindly offered by 18th Truro Sea Scouts.
The playing field can be accessed on foot from Bodmin Road (TR1 1BN), through Monterey Gardens (TR1 1JP), or via Trevithick Close (TR1 1RZ).
Patrons are reminded that rubbish and flytipping on the bonfire is not permitted.
Car parking will be available at Archbishop Benson School for £3 per vehicle, run by FABB Friends of Archbishop Benson in aid of the school’s PTA.
Truro mayor Cllr Carol Swain said: “I would like to thank staff from the city council and Visit Truro for helping to organise the event, CHBN Radio for their support, and members of the Cornwall Federation of Young Farmers Club for helping to steward the event.
“I am particularly pleased that the event will be raising money for Cornwall Air Ambulance, a charity I have supported for many years, which provides such a vital service for the residents of Cornwall in their times of greatest need.”
The event will be weather dependent so please check social media for updates and messages: @visittruro and @trurocitycouncil
