MISS England has visited a secondary school in St Austell.
Milla Magee, who was crowned the winner in the Miss England contest earlier this year, went along to Penrice Academy where she spoke to Year 7 pupils at an assembly.
Following the talk, pupils in each tutor group were eager to feature in a photograph with the celebrity visitor.
Miss England, who is based in Newquay, is the founder of a first aid project called #GOFARWITHCPR.
Upon hearing of the campaign, Donna McGrath, the first aid co-ordinator at Penrice Academy, was keen to invite Miss England to meet pupils who had just completed basic first aid training with Nuco Training’s Mini Medics.
While visiting the school, Miss England spoke to pupils about her backstory and how first aid had impacted her life.
Mrs McGrath said: “Miss Magee wanted to congratulate our students and tell them how proud she was of them and of Penrice for taking on Nuco Training's Mini Medics.
“The programme has been running since 2017, totalling 3,300 students now trained. The willingness to learn and the engagement from our students during the Mini Medics sessions is outstanding. I am immensely proud of them all.”
