Students at Pool Academy, part of Athena Learning Trust, have held a bake sale for Children in Need.
The school, which raised over £200 for the annual BBC's Children in Need, saw its community go above and beyond their efforts last year in order to raise money that goes directly to help disadvantaged children and young people.
Organised by staff members and students who baked a range of delicious treats at home, the sale was a huge success. Pool Academy have thanked parents and the whole community for their generous donations.
Thanks to donations, Children in Need are currently funding nearly 1,500 charities and children’s projects to the value of £91.5 million. In 2022/2023 they supported well over 400,000 children.
Nick Ward, Principal at Pool Academy said: “It is so important that we come together as a community to help young people in need. I’m so proud of all of our students who either baked or bought to raise money for such a good cause.”
