ONE of Newquay’s busiest roads has now reopened after repair work was carried out to a manhole chamber which appeared on Cliff Road yesterday afternoon.

The hole, located just outside Burger King, lead to further traffic disruption to an already busy Newquay town centre in order for South West Water (SWW) to investigate and carry out the necessary repairs.
SWW worked overnight to resolve the issue which had forced the Highways team to close the road between Edgecumbe Avenue and Oakleigh Terrace since around 2pm on Thursday afternoon.
