A sink hole which appeared on Cliff Road in Newquay has caused further traffic disruption to an already busy and bustling Newquay town centre as visitors arrive to attend the Boardmasters Festival.
Motorists and those planning to attend Boardmasters later today are encouraged to search for alternative routes as work on one of Newquay’s busiest roads is carried out.
The sinkhole, located just outside Burger King, temporary stopped shuttle bus services going from Newquay Bus Station, with passengers advised to catch buses from the local train station or the bus stop outside the Great Western Hotel instead. Shuttle buses from the bus station are back operating.
The sinkhole has been coned off and has been highlighted with yellow spray-paint.
