Newquay’s unsung heroes are set to be honoured for their dedication to the town.
Newquay Town Council is staging its annual meeting and community awards celebration at St Michael’s Church on Tuesday, March 19 at 6pm.
A town council spokesperson said: “This event provides a unique opportunity for residents to gain insights into the council’s activities over the past year, pose questions, and share perspectives on matters close to their hearts.
“The meeting is open to all Newquay residents, with the mayor and councillors in attendance in an unofficial capacity, ready to engage in discussions on topics that impact our community.
“This inclusive forum allows residents to actively participate, fostering a sense of community involvement.
“Registered electors of Newquay are encouraged to participate by asking questions about anything on the agenda and are entitled to vote if one is called.
“The agenda and details on how to get involved will be released on the town council’s social media channels in early March.
“Following the annual meeting, the prestigious Newquay Town Council Community Awards ceremony will take place.
“This event is a special occasion dedicated to honouring the unsung heroes from all corners of Newquay, individuals who have made remarkable contributions to our town.
