A newly formed Samba band in Newquay is staging a festive fundraiser.

The Newquay Samba Band is holding a big Christmas quiz towards band equipment at the Griffin Inn on Thursday, December 5 at 7.50pm.

The entry fee is £3 per person and it’s a maximum of six in a team. There will be prizes for the winning team.

The pub will be donating £1 from every festive meal ordered on the night to the Newquay Samba Band.

Newquay Samba Band leader Jamie Edwards said: “If you love a Christmas quiz what are you waiting for?

“Get your family and friends together and come and take part, with prizes going to the winning team.”
