A lifeboat station has benefited from nearly £6,000 in donations from various fundraisers.
An evening of music with the Fireblockers, which included a buffet, raffle and auction at the Millpool Centre in Looe, raised £4,181 for the RNLI in the town.
The event at the centre was organised by Sarah Barker and the funds raised have been split between her two nominated charities, the Daisy Garland and Looe RNLI.
Elsewhere Caroline Frith, Chrissy Broad and the team at the Beach House in Seaton organised a pint and pasty evening, which included a raffle and auction, and raised £3,276.81.
A spokesman for Looe RNLI said: “We know how much work Sarah, and Caroline, Chrissy and the Beach House staff put in to making these evenings a fantastic success and would like to thank them all so much.
“Our fundraising team and volunteer crew would also like to thank all those people and organisations who donated their time, goods and a superb range of auction and raffle items for these two fundraisers.
“Our thanks also go out to everyone who purchased event tickets, raffle tickets or placed bids for those wonderful auction lots.”
Meanwhile, Chris Butters has also raised funds for Looe RNLI. He completed a sponsored motorbike challenge, riding 806 miles from John o’Groats to Looe.
The bike ride raised around £1,700, which was split between his four nominated charities includeing a new playground area in his hometown in Cheshire.
Lifeboat press officer Ian Foster met Chris on his arrival at the Looe Lifeboat Station to thank him on behalf of the volunteer crew.
