A man has been charged in connection with an incident in Newquay on Sunday, March 12.

Ghenadie Babii, 38, of Narrowcliff, Newquay, has been charged with the rape of a woman.

He appeared before Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 17 and was remanded in custody.

Earlier today the police had issued an appeal to find a possible witness.
