A group of veterans from Newquay completed a 10 mile walk and raised £1,000 for a good cause close to their hearts.

Members of HMAF Veterans CIC, Towan Blystra Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club took part in their 'March In March' fundraiser setting off from RAF St Mawgan’s main gate and finishing up at the War Memorial in Newquay in support of veterans' charity Combat Stress.

RAF St Mawgan Station Commander, Wg Cdr Helen Simpson, and her family turned out to support the group.

Sainsbury’s Newquay and the Esplanade Hotel provided supplies for the fundraiser and welcome respite.
