Acclaimed Camborne-based veteran lutenist Ben Salfield teams up with young Polish classical guitar superstar Aleksandra Sapok for a series of six recitals at Cornish venues in the last week of August.

With a repertoire of duets and solos encompassing English renaissance lute music, French keyboard music arranged for duo, and Latin guitar solos – plus support by Polish guitarist Przemek Hotlaś – there's something for all fans of classical guitar in its different forms.

Aleksandra Sapok is a former winner of Poland's Young Musician of the Year, and has been highly praised by international media critics. Ben Salfield has been seen by millions on BBC World TV, and is widely considered to be one of the great lutenists of his generation, with a performance career spanning nearly four decades.

Ahead of their 2025 European Tour, the duo appears at: St Agnes MMI (August 26); Malpas Village Hall (August 27); St Michael's Church, Helston (August 28); St Anthony in Meneage Church (August 29); Camborne Wesley Methodist Church (August 30) and Stithians Centre (August 31).

Tickets are priced £12.50 (no booking fee), with accompanied under 18s free. Book online at www.kernowconcerts.co.uk

The recitals form part of the new KCA International Guitar Series - quarterly international concerts to include the provision of offers of free classes with international teachers for children and young people from underprivileged backgrounds.

While most of the costs will be covered by sponsorship and ticket sales, a shortfall of around £500 is estimated, and a Just Giving appeal can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/InternationalGuitarSeries
