Congratulations went to St Dennis pooch Lowen, who gained third place in the Old English Sheepdog section at Crufts in Birmingham.

Lowen was named best puppy last year, and has grown and progressed in the past 12 months. His placing qualifies him for entry next year.

Proud owner Jennifer Hick said: “He was very well behaved and a keen participant.”

Crufts, which took place from March 7 to 10 at the NEC Birmingham, is a unique celebration of happy, healthy dogs and of the loving relationship that they enjoy with their owners.
