VOLUNTEERS from SUEZ’s industrial and commercial department gathered at Newquay Zoo recently to lend their hands in various renovation tasks.
The café, a vital hub for visitors, received a fresh coat of paint, while volunteers also worked diligently to clear excess vegetation, improving the overall aesthetic and accessibility of the zoo grounds.
James Antcliff, key account manager at SUEZ, said: “We believe in giving back to the communities we serve. “Supporting local organisations like Newquay Zoo not only enhances the visitor experience but also fosters a deeper connection between our employees and the community. We are proud to contribute our time and resources to this wonderful facility.”
The zoo plays an essential role in wildlife conservation and education, providing visitors with opportunities to learn about various species and their habitats. The volunteer efforts will help ensure that the zoo remains an inviting space for families and individuals to explore and enjoy.
Dave Folland, head of Newquay Zoo, added: “SUEZ, who are our waste contractor, have sustainability days allowing staff to give time to environmental and sustainability projects.
“We are incredibly grateful for their support. Their willingness to help with these projects makes a significant difference in our ability to provide a great experience for visitors.”
